Abhorrent - Christmas in September

Our local Sainsbury's has started pushing Advent calenders, Christmas puddings and mince pies. In mid-September!

Mind you, Paperchase were selling Christmas cards last months.

There was an article in today's Metro about one supermarket selling mince pies with Santa on the box that have a use by date of October 23rd!

Still, I have a good excuse. It's because I love mince pies. And they didn't have any Chelsea buns.

I indulged myself earlier this week buying stuff from the Lakeland Christmas catalogue. For some reason, although I like doing this -- it makes me feel organised (like wot I used to be) and reminds me that we have autumn and then Christmas coming, cheers cheers -- I find it irritating to see Christmas stuff in shops this early. Possibly I just don't want anyone else to be able to plan ahead.

Oh well, back to painting the kitchen...
