ZZ9 rock anyone?

I have just found a stick of ZZ9 rock I acquired at the Brighton Worldcon in 1987. It really hasn't lasted that well, let's just say I won't be bringing it to the AGM. I only hope that was the last of them now.

You mean after 22 years, it wasn't fit for Jim to snort it?

Nope. Apart from the fact that I hope he's learned his lesson after last time, and is older and wiser now anyway, it was also far too sticky (and I don't mean 'like a stick') to be snortable.

But you've just reminded me why it might still be too soon to let Jim go back to Novacon.

Older, yes.
I'd better go to Manchester that weekend then.

It might be safer. But then again, where's the fun in that?

A collecters item now!

Only if you want to dig it out of my bin. And I wouldn't recommend it.

How many years/decades has it been since the last ever stick of ZZ9 rock was sold off?

And indeed how many times has 'the last ever stick of ZZ9 rock' been sold off? It was like pieces of the true cross.

I think I have some rock that was manufactured for the 1984 or possibly even the 1982 Eastercon.
