The bad news is that we are close to melting in our tiny, non-airconditioned office. The good news is my boss just bought us all ice cream. This should stop my brain from melting for at least the next ten minutes or so.
Nice boss! - we just melt, and then have the patients in their thin PJ's lazing around doing nothing complaining at us that it is too hot - no shit! being the obvious response as we run around at 50 miles an hour trying to do everything in thick uniforms made of polyester.
I was starting to overheat in the office earlier this afternoon and then realised that someone had turned the air-conditioning off. What sort of idiot does that then? (probably Yosief, at a guess).
Handy hint: jiffy bags have similar properties to thermos flasks and are handy for transporting cold ice lollies from shop to office without them melting (and hot fish and chips without them going cold).
From Metro today: 'Hotter than Rio'. Well that would be because it's winter in Brazil wouldn't it.
